We have over a hundred Alumni since the college opened in 2016. Those who can share have sent the following to encourage others of the work God is doing in Zambia and beyond after graduating from PIZ. We have others stories, but here are a few:
Moses Chimwaji
Moses is now a lecturer at PIZ, in the video below he shares a bit about what he had been doing after leaving PIZ:
This is the church plant in Kitwe, called Garneton East Chapel. Moses is on the left in the yellow trousers.
Bright Musonda
After leaving PIZ, Bright has been busy preaching, ministering to students through the Zambia Fellowship of Evangelical Students (ZAFES) as National Associate Coordinator and doing work for The Zoe Foundation. Bright is a member of the United Church of Zambia. He finished his Theology Bachelor's degree in June 2026. He will be serve as a minister of word and sacrament in the church.
As the National Associates Coordinator for ZAFES , Bright oversees the graduates and graduating students, helping them on how they can live life after campus and also helping them to continue engaging with scriptures and how to use their careers as the tool for evangelism.
Bright says "Knowing someone believes in what God is doing through me gives me strength I can’t explain."

Bright founded the Zoe Foundation having experienced the pain of being an orphan himself, he developed a passion for the less privileged. He says they just contribute the little things which God blesses us. The photos share a time when he joined with others at an orphanage to share the gospel, gave them bibles, as well as delivering resources such as books, pens, sanitary towels for the girls, and food.

The comprehensive training has been absolutely foundational, equipping me with the essential biblical handling skills and practical ministry insights that have been indispensable in preparing me to preach and teach God's Word to large student audiences during provincial and national conferences, as well as in smaller campus gatherings. |

Rabecca Mwelwa
Rabecca says:
"I'm working at Bushfire Children's Village. It's an orphanage situated in the Copperbelt province of Zambia. This is where I'm trying to teach the word of God and understand it as it is written using the Preacher's House which I learnt at PIZ. These are children coming from different back grounds. I also read a chapter of the book of the Bible every Sunday.
Bushfire Christian Fellowship is a church which we thought of starting because the places where the churches are are far away, and so we thought of starting a fellowship with the children. This has also caused the surrounding community to be fellowshipping with us"

Davy Sichone
Davy has been busy planting churches since he left PIZ. His first plant was in Nakonde and the second in Choma. Give thanks for God's enabling and grace.

Edward Kalumba
Edward attends the Faith Baptist Church in Garneton East. He is involved in the children's work. In the first video, the children are singing songs. The first 2 songs are in English, the last in the Bemba language as some of the children cannot speak English.
The second video is of Edward teaching the children the first four commandments of the 10 Commandments. He is speaking in Bemba as well as English.

“For two years after PIZ I studied plumbing in Kasama, in the Northern province of Zambia. While there I helped a Baptist pastor to plant a church, which is progressing well. I also served as Chairperson for Zambia Fellowship of Evangelical Students (ZAFES). Being involved with this work gave me opportunities to advertise PIZ in colleges around Kasama.
In 2019 I went to George Whitfield College (GWC) in Cape Town, South Africa, to do a higher certificate in Theology course. I qualified with a Bachelor’s degree and I am now a lecturer at Proclamation Institute Zambia!

Prince Matthews Banda

After PIZ, Prince Matthews Banda went to Cornhill Scotland and served as a ministry apprentice at The Tron Church in Glasgow.
Prince wrote of his time in Scotland: "I am very grateful to the Lord and enormously humbled by how He has worked through his people in making it possible for me to be there. It was highly stimulating to learn alongside my classmates. Different people from different walks of life but posses and share a burning passion to teach and serve God through faithfully Biblical teaching. One thing that I believe has stood more out to us all is when we have been exposed to God’s Word, the more the Word has exposed our sin and caused us to draw even closer to our Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ." He is now in his 4th year of a Masters in theology in Zambia sponsored by the Tron Church while serving at Faith Baptist Church Riverside leading the Campus Outreach Ministry, overseeing student activities and weekly Bible studies. Prince recently led a small group at the Simeon Trust Workshop (equipping pastors and teachers to handle Scripture faithfully), and facilitating a Campus Outreach Bible study. Rooted in the centrality of the local church, these experiences are shaping him for faithful service within the church in advancing the Great Commission. |

Cecilia Mumbi

After graduating from PIZ, Cecilia applied for further studies in Theological training at George Whitefield College (GWC) in Cape Town and by God's enabling grace, she was accepted to study. Cecilia graduated from GWC in 2020.
She is engaged in student ministry with ZAFES as a Campus Ministry Coordinator. Since April 2024, Cecilia has been studying at Wheaton College, in Illinois USA for a Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counsellor graduating in May 2026. She will return to Zambia to work for ZAFES using the skills she has learnt for the student population, and partnering with churches who can benefit from the counselling she will provide, like trauma informed care skills. Cecilia has a dream of one day opening a counselling centre to give people a safe space for people to share and to access to affordable help. |

Brian Bwayla

After PIZ Brian went to Kabwata Baptist church in Lusaka to do a year of internship training.
He has served as an Assistant/Youth Pastor at Faith Baptist Church, Kitwe. This is the church which Pastor Kelvin, another 2018 PIZ graduate is pastoring. Mainly his role at the church was preaching and he also helps in youth ministry and leadership responsibilities. Brian grows his own vegetables and rears broilers for his livelihood. He married Sonta in 2020, who he met at PIZ. He is currently the Pastor of Mweru Baptist Church. Watch the video on the left to hear more from Brian and his PIZ journey recorded in October 2022 |
Peter Banda Kalumba

"Since finishing my course at PIZ, I have been involved with various aspects of church life, with God’s help. I am thankful to God for how He has led me this far. My life has changed in so many ways.
The summary of what I have been doing is as follows:- I have been working with the youth (preaching at their meetings), teaching the children in the Sunday School and preaching in the church. We meet as a church for ministry on Sundays, Mondays, and Wednesdays. I am at the Christian Brethren Church, C.M.M.L, in Kitwe. " |
