The college will offer a one-year preaching course toward a certificate. The syllabus is currently in process. The proposed courses are as follows:
Principles of Bible Exposition
This course aims to cover the main principles that are important for preaching the biblical text.
As the name implies, this course is designed to familiarise the student with the content and the broad sweep of the Scriptures.
Study and Analysis of Individual Bible Books
Studying books such as Romans or Ephesians in greater depth is useful for understanding the detailed content of these books.
Christian Ethics involves the study of moral principles that are set out in Scripture by which we are to live the Christian life.
The course on Bible Genres helps the student understand the differences between the various types of literature (narrative, poetry or wisdom for example) that make up the Bible.
This course is designed to help the student learn all of the necessary "nuts and bolts" that go into preaching a sermon.
A right understanding of the doctrines of the Bible is critical for any preacher of the Word of God in order to avoid error. This course aims to cover these major doctrines.
Those in the ministry need clear guidance as to what is expected of them in shepherding the flock of God. This course provides those practical guidelines for working with people.
This course studies the practical theology that seeks to highlight the mandate and mission of the church as well as the nature of missionary work.
Sketches in Church History
A knowledge of history is important for any Christian, but a knowledge of church history is critical. This course aims to consider the high points of the history of the church that have shaped Christianity today.
