PIZ run district training courses throughout Zambia. These tend to be one or two day training seminars giving instruction to local churches and ministry leaders on the benefits of expository ministry, with practical training given in how to develop this ministry.

July 2025. The team conducted expository training in the region of Nakonde. This area is in the North-East of Zambia, around 600miles away from the college on the border with Tanzania.
As well as local churches and pastors being in attendance there were 20 delegates from Tanzania that had crossed the border to listen and learn the benefits of expository ministry. |
In March Moses, one of the PIZ lecturers, gave training in Luanshya whereby 120 people from local churches came to receive training.

In June 2024 Moses Chimwaji was in Mpika, Muchinga Province training church leaders in expository preaching. Taking the training to where the church leaders live is one of PIZ strategies to promote faithful bible teaching across the country of Zambia.

The Kitwe District training was conducted in April 2024 at Kawama West CMML Church. Henry and Moses were the trainers. PIZ is responding to the preaching needs in most vernacular local churches. Management decided to conduct training for vernacular CMML or Christian Brethren assemblies. Preaching in these local churches is done mostly by elders and in most cases with no training in preaching. Church leaders from 27 CMML churches in Kitwe attended the training. We thank God for this good response to an expository preaching seminar. The training was translated from English to Bemba, the main local language spoken in Kitwe.

The Kalumbila District training in North Western Province also took place in April 2024 in Maheba Refugee Camp. The refugees in this camp are from Congo DRC.
78 people attended the seminar and Moses was the trainer. Lessons were translated from English to Swahili as most Congolese refugees do not know the common local language of Kalumbila- Kaonde. Eight people expressed the desire to come and train at PIZ in 2025. Below is a group discussion.
